There are several picknic tables and outdoor grills here as well a new kiddie park. All in all, this is a great place to spend an afternoon.
This is one of my favorite local parks. There are miles of trails and the terrain is unique. The park is adjacent to an old quarry and as I understand it, the property was purchased to stop the quarry from expanding into what we now know as Clarks Reservation State Park. The terrain goes from flat and easy walking, to moderately rocky, to downright rough depending on what trail you chose. There are boulder sized rocks with large crevices to traverse on some trails. If you want to explore the park, I would suggest wearing some sturdy footwear. There is a long somewhat steep stone staircase the leads to the glacial lake. You can hike the trail around the lake but beware, this is the roughest part of the park.
Great for hiking, but they close the lake trail in the winter time. Sure no one is going to stop you if you go down there. But it's very dangerous when it's cover in ice. And the trails are some what challenging. Beautiful place to visit.
Great place to take the family on a hike. Great views and some challenging trails.
Beautiful park. Loads of trails some easy some moderate. Trails and direction could use more markings, difficult to follow with map but people very helpful. Worth seeing. nature center was closed but showed up coming classes/events. Nice small garden.
Very cool state park. It has good hiking trails and some unique geological features. Note that most of the trails require some amount of light climbing, so they are not well suited for those with limited mobility or strollers (I learned this the hard way). The park also has picnic tables, grills, a nature center (with limited hours) and a cool playground.
